TRUSTEE OF THE BRITISH HORSE SOCIETY

Very many congratulations to our Chairman, Donald, on his election to the Board of Trustees at the Annual General Meeting of the British Horse Society in June. There were 6 nominations for the three places and only life, founder and golf members were eligible to vote. Donald achieved a high percentage of the vote and HDRC areI very proud of his achievement.

For HDRC members who are not members of the BHS, we print below the information included with the voting form. The BHS needs all the financial help it can get, so perhaps now is the time for non-members to join and support Donald in his “basics first” policy.

A registered BHS Instructor and Examiner, who has worked as a freelance Instructor since qualifying, has enjoyed numerous experience in many spheres – Pony Club, Point-to-Pointing, Eventing and Dressage. Course builder for the Pentathlon World Championships and Olympic qualifiers. A keen committee member, presently ChaiRman of British Riding Clubs’ Training Sub-Committee. Now sees the necessity to ensure that the BHS continues to promote training and education in all aspects, especially the welfare of our system, which is held in such high regard throughout the equestrian world.

A firm believer in “basics first” and that success will follow.
