If
you are currently involved in teams, or would like
to be in the future, PLEASE help us, to help you ……by
reading this document (click
here) regarding Riding Club Team participants
and their horse or pony requiring a valid vaccination
certificate.
Teams Finance Policy:
Having taken into account your views received via
our feedback forms, the majority agreed that the Club
will continue to fund team entry fees and stabling,
but that competitors are to be responsible for their
own travel costs. This policy will be in place during
2010 and will be reviewed at the end of the year.
Teams Liaison – Maxine Gayler
Horsham & District Riding Club (HDRC) has always
enjoyed much success with its teams at both Area and
National level competitions. Whether at dressage,
show jumping, horse trials or even fun quizes, members
have enjoyed the opportunity to represent the club,
the team spirit and support from everyone. Competitions
are held at various levels from novice to advanced
so if you would like to be considered for any of the
teams, we want to hear from you now... teams aren't
just for the experts! We want to encourage new members
to ensure everyone gets considered and hopefully we
can strengthen our squads in the process.
To ensure we do not miss anyone out and match you
to the correct level of team according to your eligibility,
please can everyone who wants to be considered for
teams (whether you have been a regular member or a
budding new team player) return the form below so
that we can update our records regarding your level
of competition and what winnings you and your horse
have accumulated, if any.
The even better news is that the Club funds all the
entry fees for these team competitions so you get
to compete for free! All we ask is that you give some
of your time to help at shows, and when you are contacted,
you return our calls ASAP so we can ensure we get
the teams lists out in good time!
Please make a note in your diaries of the dates of
the Qualifiers and Championships (which are on the
website and in your newsletters) and do keep these
free! Many thanks.
Please NOTE (to save disappointment
on the day): Passports/vaccinations MUST be up to
date for horses competing at team events. At ALL TEAM
EVENTS, Stewards rigorously check horses' passports
and all vaccination dates; if they see any passport/vaccination
anomalies/discrepancies, you will NOT be permitted
to compete on that day. Also there is an additional
rule that vaccinations must not have been done in
the preceding 10 days before a competition. So, if
they are due in this time, please have then done a
few days earlier so that we comply and do not get
eliminated!
Please return completed Member's Teams Information Forms to Maxine Gayler, Mount Pleasant Farm, Parish Lane , Pease Pottage, West Sussex , RH10 5NY, as soon as possible.
